Serving Our Community
We love our Decatur community and have strong partnerships with these organizations:
Unity Christian School
St. John’s is proud to be an association member of Unity Christian School, a ministry of the Lutheran School Association (LSA).
Unity provides families in our congregation and the greater Decatur community a solid, Christ-centered education for grades K-12.

Northeast Community Fund
Originally founded in 1969 by St. John’s Lutheran Church and three local businesses, the Northeast Community Fund now serves families throughout Macon County with access to resources like food, clothing, and financial assistance — all in a Christ-like manner.
The Northeast Community Fund is a great place to volunteer and is always accepting clothing, nonperishable food, and financial donations.
LSA Resale Shop
Support Unity Christian School through the LSA Resale Shop. This nonprofit thrift store sells clothing and household items at a reasonable price to Decatur families, with all proceeds supporting our association school.
Donate gently used clothing, furniture, housewares, sports equipment, and other miscellaneous items, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 3:00 p.m.
